I recommend displaying Fees as “Approx. Total Course Fee” and Cut-off as “Indicative General Cut-off” rather than presenting these numbers as absolute figures. Institute fee structures change by batch, hostel/mess charges may be separate, and many B-schools publish only minimum qualifying thresholds rather than the percentile at which candidates actually receive interview calls.

For placement, use Average/Median CTC rather than “Package” alone. At institutions such as IIM Ahmedabad, placement processes cover numerous industry cohorts and the institute reports placement outcomes through official releases; its March 27, 2026 release confirms completion of the PGP Class of 2026 final placement process across 26 cohorts.

ROI Ratio = Average/Median Placement CTC ÷ Total Academic Fee

So, for example:

• ROI ≥ 2.0x → Excellent
• 1.25–1.99x → Very Good
• 0.90–1.24x → Good
• 0.60–0.89x → Moderate
• Below 0.60x → Low

This makes colleges such as FMS Delhi, JBIMS, SIMSREE, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, DSE/DFS/DBE, BHU and other low-fee public institutions stand out correctly, instead of simply favouring colleges with the highest salary numbers.
